 Psychiatrist (Consultant)

Community Health Center with sites in ESGV and Pomona is looking for a consulting board certified Psychiatrist to treat HIV patients and to consult with primary care and mental health clinicians. Experience with underserved populations, Valid DEA. 14-20 hrs/month. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred. EOE. Please email CV and Salary requirements.

Principle Responsibilities: Perform Psychiatric evaluations for HIV positive patients. Perform treatment plans and prescription of required medications. Perform patient follow ups as required by treatment plan. Maintain clear and concise documentation for all psychiatric interventions. Participate in case conferences with the HIV Mental Health Coordinator. Perform Psychiatric consultations with infection disease physician. Maintain regular communication with Medical Director and HIV Mental Health Coordinator.   

Requirements: California licensed M.D. with Board Certification of Psychiatry. Specialized knowledge about HIV-related disease, chronic mental illness and substance abuse in public-sector clients. Sensitivity to cultural and gender issues. Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.

Controller

East Valley Community Health Center a Federally Qualified Health Center based in the East San Gabriel Valley, Los Angeles is seeking a dedicated, healthcare experienced individual to fill the position of the Controller.

Responsibilities: The position reports to the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Finance Department, preparing the monthly financial statements as well as periodic reports and reconciliations to the HRSA; Medi-Cal and Medicare. Being the primary liaison with independent and governmental auditors is a major responsibility of this position. The position serves as the fiscal liaison with funding agencies, vendors and other entities.

Qualifications: The successful applicant will have at least, five years community health center accounting experience and familiarity with MAS 90; knowledge of managed care and understanding of public contracts and grants. A degree in Accounting is required. Ability to multi-task and to work under pressure is necessary. Must have good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

LCSW - Project Director /Service Coordinator

Community Health Center in West Covina is seeking a Full-time LCSW to fill the position of Project Director/Service Coordinator. This position will take the lead role in a consortium of local primary care, mental health, and substance use treatment organizations to collaboratively plan and implement a mobile model of service delivery aligned with housing for homeless families and individuals. Must be professional, thrive in a fast-paced environment, ability to interact with all levels of staff, strong attention to detail, and excellent organizational and time management skills. Responsibilities: Provide project leadership and administrative supervision necessary to ensure direct, comprehensive, integrated and coordinated services. Ensure that all team members of the SGV Services Partnership are meeting the goals as set-forth in the project. Provide clinical supervision to mental health professionals and case managers assigned to the project in the course of project activities. Coordinate flow of services between SGV Services Partnership team members. Facilitate purchase of client services as needed. With SGV Services Partnership Core Partners, identify members of Mobile Team, including a primary care provider, a mental health provider, housing specialist and case managers. With SGV Services Partnership Team, develop and administer service delivery protocols, policies and procedures for:  housing location, including: site supervision, house rules, termination, graduation, crisis and medical and/or psychiatric emergency; outreach/engagement, including assessment tools; housing case management, including, including care plan tools; clinical service delivery including primary care, mental health, and substance abuse. With the Housing Specialist, maximize available housing vouchers and rental subsidies available in community for clients of the SGV Services Partnership project throughout the project period. Develop and implement quality improvement and evaluation protocols. Develop/identify assessment tools, evaluation tools, and other SGV Services Partnership project processes/documents/tools. Ensure data collection requirements are met for project contract and by all participating SGV Services Partnership team members. Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports as appropriate and required.  Monitor and/or observe staff outreach engagement/assessment, case management sessions, and case notes in accordance with performance reviews of project staff.  Facilitate regular case conferencing meetings. Assist in coaching staff and in ongoing educational efforts. Facilitate regular staff meetings with the entire SGV Services Partnership team. Facilitate and participate in regular SGV Services Partnership Steering Committee Meetings. Coordinate services with participating project and other homeless/community based organizations and stakeholders.  Attend community/coalition meetings as appropriate to the SGV Services Partnership Project.  Other duties as identified by supervisor.

Qualifications:  LCSW, with a minimum of 2 years management experience. At least 3-5 years of experience with homeless services and permanent supportive and transitional housing. Recorded success in project management and experience in managing a multi-component project, including community stakeholders and government agencies. Experience in planning steps in project implementation and ability to interpret and follow funder requirements and procedures. Strong verbal and writing skills, and effective communication to diverse audiences. Detail-oriented with strong problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to be self-directed and work independently and as an effective and collaborative member of a team.  Proficient in Microsoft Office computer programs.  Knowledge of LAHSA Homeless Management Information System, preferred. Verbal fluency in Spanish, preferred.
