COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution Update

Update March 4, 2021

WEST COVINA, CA - East Valley Community Health Center is committed to delivering

COVID-19 vaccines to its patients and communities quickly and safely.  While COVID-19 vaccine supply is still very limited, they hope to be offering appointments more broadly as soon as more vaccines are available. Currently, only individuals in Phase 1A (Health Care Workers and Long-Term Care Residents) and Phase 1B (Individuals 65 and older, Food & Agriculture, Education & Daycare, and Law & Safety personnel) are eligible to get the vaccine. The health center will begin contacting these individuals by text, and phone to schedule vaccination appointments.

COVID-19 vaccines are available by appointment only at East Valley's vaccination clinic sites.

Please do not call or message your doctor about scheduling a vaccine appointment as vaccine invitations are managed exclusively through their COVID-19 vaccine team to ensure the most fair and efficient vaccine distribution possible.

Vaccine Hub Designation: East Valley has been named a COVID-19 vaccine hub provider by the County of Los Angeles. "We are pleased to gain this designation and look forward to working with our partners in the region to vaccinate our patients and our community, once supplies for mass vaccination efforts are received." said Claudia Soto, Director of Communications & Development.

Distribution of the vaccines is based on guidance from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). For more details about who is included in each phase of vaccination, please see “Phases of Vaccine Distribution”.

East Valley is working closely with state and county health departments to best ensure every person in our communities will have access to the COVID-19 vaccine.
