East Valley Issues Statement on COVID-19 Vaccine being administered to children ages 12 - 15.

(WEST COVINA, CA) – On May 12th, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration expanded the emergency use authorization for the Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine to include adolescents 12 through 15 years of age. Having a vaccine authorized for a younger population is a critical step in continuing to lessen the immense public health burden caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

East Valley’s vaccination Point of Distribution (POD) sites will receive and begin administering the Pfizer vaccine, in addition to the Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines, within the next couple weeks. We encourage our communities to Get Vaccinated and schedule your appointments by visiting www.evchc.org/covid19vaccine.
